Default Dreamworksrc/airpower smart multi-function sequencer switch question

Hey folks been trying to figure this out and I was wonder is it possible to use these on a 3-way switch? I use futaba and I setup three conditions using one of my three pos switches. So first position is gear down and what i would like is to have the next position(mid) to bring the gear up and the third position keep gear up just and allow for some thrust vectoring settings.
The issue im having is the gear doesnt move until the third position so when im at mid the gear valve servo doesn't move to bring the gear up. Its either something simple. Any thoughts? Or is it only designed to work with a tw0-way switch?

The sequencer is probably programmed to operate up at somewhere < 1520 resolution and operate down at somewhere > 1520 resolution or visa versa. Mid position is 1520 resolution. Other than reversing the channel, I am not sure if you can actually change the transmitters output on a switched channel. You would have to change the program in the sequencer to operate up and down in 1/2 of the normal resolution (e.g. Up at 1520 and down at ~1000). That would leave you > 1520 to ~2000 to do something else with.

But maybe someone else will chime in here.

okay thats what i figured was going on, I have some ideas that may work. Since im running it on conditions i might can reverse it for that mid condition and then back. I will keep at it, maybe adjusting the curve offset so that it matches the third gear up position on the switch......

Thanks this also reminds me I totally forgot to send back a hitec servo thats bad, first one I have gone bad out of the box.

I think you can adjust the "PW" on both ends on the sequencer in regards to up & down, but not sure how much adjustment there is from 1100 (1.10) and 1900 (1.90). The instructions mention something about it, and may be worth seeing how far you can raise or lower on end so the sequencer will operate in narrower pulse width spread so you can utilize the middle as one of the trigger points. (?)

That only controls the servo direction travel and end points if I'm understanding you right. I did manage to get it working, on the second condition I adjusted the offset value under the AFR/DR window of the gear curve. Works like a charm now

I have very limited experience with Futaba transmitters but doesn't this sounds like a problem that could be solved using a gyro gain function? Most transmitters support a gyro function that would allow a unique gyro gain (positive or negative servo position) to be assigned to each position of a 3 position switch. Not sure how you would program that with your transmitter but it occurred to me that this might be a way get the functionality you are after so I thought I'd mention it, just in case it's of some help..

There is no gyro menu under the fixed wing model type, unless I missed it.

Ok, another thought would be to not directly drive the gear channel with the switch but use it to control a curve mix that outputs +100% (gear up) for switch position 1 and -100% (gear down) for switch positions 2 and 3.

I did manage to make work with the above method, this way I have conditions on the three pos switch instead of just one channel. Allows for more features. Like disabling my nose gear when moving to the second and third pos and individual adjustments.

Hi guys. I'm trying to get mine to work in my f16. It's all hooked up, I can get the brake to click on and off on the controller but when I flick the 2 position switch on my radio I can't get the gear to work. The only way I can get it all to work is press the menu button on the controller. Can anyone help.

Cheers Steve

Hi Steve I was told the brake function doesn't work very well. I have this sequencer on my rebel pro. It works great for dual pressure, sequencing and fail safe. I just run the brake valve normal, I never could get it to work either.

Hi fenderbean. Thing is I can't get the gear and gear doors to work and I can get the brake to work. It's like it's not getting a signal from the Transmitter.

Oh I miss understood you, I had this problem at first and I think Todd with Dreamworks helped me but I cannot remember for sure. Check the end points of the servo in the adjustments, I think that was my problem at first it wasnt set correct and the servo would not move when switching.
