Futaba 18MZ telemetry update.

Hi guys,
Have I missed an update on my 18MZ to improve the terrible telemetry situation with the 18MZ or am I just not setting it up properly? I am referring to the units that are displayed on the screen and the fact that we cannot change them to what we need.
I am using telemetry that gives me 'fuel remaining' and I have to use rpm as the unit of display and even worse as my audible warning for it...crazy.
Cheers,
Jan

Your not missing anything other than having the wrong slot selected for the sensor. But even when another slot is used the unit of measure will not be correct either. It will remain as "Degrees C" Futaba will not release the codes to reprogram this.
The easiest solution is to Rename the particular parameter and towards the end of the line add in the parameter unit of measure. The figure is still correct just the identifier isnt.
Failing this the best option is to upgrade to a Jeti

To change the menu is a fairly easy fix but unfortunately Futaba has never been to receptive of customer wants and needs.

. Futaba's attitude over the years of customers asking for new features for their flag$hip radio seems to be..."We'll give you what we think you need when we think you need it". I think they're following that successful Blackberry business model
