It really was a great jet event. Thanks to Joe, Nancy, BARKS and the pilots. The thanks are a major understatement - this was a first class event and it's a great privilege to be a small part of something like this. The flight line organization was great - the guys were working hard to maintain a safe operating environment and fair allotment of flying to everyone who wanted to fly. Never more than a few minutes waiting on Thurs and Friday, even Sat morning (except for right after lulls like the pilot meeting, etc). Really amazing jets, truly fantastic flying and great friends. More understatements! I've been out of the jet rally scene for several years, this was a heck of a jump start back into what I've been missing. Thanks to everyone.

Just arrived home after a wonderful week in California desert.
Best In The West Jet Rally is the best event I've ever attended.
So much fun, so many wonderful people, delicious food, beautiful weather, lots of great models, good pilots and what a fantastic place to fly jets!
Thank you very very much Joe Castelao who made all this possible for me to experience.
I know how much work it is to arrange such a thing, we are incredibly lucky to have such people as Joe & Nancy who do all this for us! And topped it off with awards at the banquet Saturday night
I met many old friends and made many new friends in this wonderful hobby. Dare not start mentioning names, but thank you to all of you who were on BITW for a wonderful time together! See you next year at BITW 2016 Thank you for posting very nice pics David Searles!
Best regards Trond

Trond, in case you don't remember, you gave new meaning to the MC Hammer song, Can't Touch This. Maybe someone will post a video

Thanks to Joe, Nancy and the BARKS crew. I had a great 3 days of flying in the desert. It was great getting to meet a couple of great builders, Phil and Trond, thanks for making the trip.

There were too many beautiful jets to name but the highlight for me was not one but two Airworld F104's. It would have been great to have them in the air together.

Default A bit late...

Just catching up on a lot of things...

First, a big thanks to Joe C., Nancy and all the crew for putting on a great event. My first time there, and hopefully not my last. I had a blast!

Also thanks to Doug, Mike, Tim and Brad for convincing me to drag Doug's trailer and all their equipment there and back. Only 10,000 km (6,000 miles) added to the truck. As far as I know everything made it there and back in one piece. Getting to know Trond was... Interesting. ;-) I really enjoyed the trip and seeing parts of the USA that I haven't seen before. The icing on the cake has to be the award. Much thanks.

As for being a bit late getting to this, turns out I came down with the nasty cold that's going around on the last day of the trip. Glad it held off until then. I also got home to a dead computer (motherboard died.) Since I built it myself, I upgraded it myself with a new motherboard, CPU and RAM. She's hummin' along now.

All in all, it was a great 16 day adventure.

Regards,
...jim

PS. Made a friend there...
