So im making some scale parts for my skymaster T38 thunderbirds scheme and need some of the red white and blue. I was wondering if anyone has matched up some paint useing the testors or tamiya ratle can paints. All my scale items are antennas so i dont need much and rather buy these paints than to go get. Ppg paint matched

Lucky you I'm working on the t-33 and just did some painting the best match was from two paints.this is the pictures with the color codes.

If you want to use Tamiya paints, the codes are X-3 (royal blue) and TS-8 (Italian red).

I have a feeling that the colours are insignia red and blue, FS31136 (red) and FS35044 (blue), but I can't find my references at the moment, so I may be wrong.

Don't know how close the Skymaster paint matches the FS numbers, but the official paint codes are FS 17875 Insignia White, FS 35044 Insignia Blue and FS 31136 Insignia Red
