Shaun, What's a F-18 twin worth?
Shaun,
I've got a Y/A F-18 twin NIB with gear and I've got a guy who might be interested in buying it. I don't have a clue what it's worth, especially since you can't get them anymore. Your the expert, what's this thing worth?
TIA,
Jerry N

It's worth whatever someone is willing to pay. What's it worth to you? We all know what it cost when they were available. Actually still available if you really want one. . I have one and it's worth a lot to me. There's a couple in the for sale ads. That might help gauge it.

Jerry,
Latest generation kit and gear? I'd say at this point, they're probably worth a tad more than the last list price because there are lots of guys out there who still want them but are slow to buy a partial or an already-started kit. What have you got?

If it's a green fuselage its polyester "old " if it's epoxy fuselage its newer version and will likely have carbon fiber reinforcements. I don't think it will meet dimensional limit of greyhound but you could try Uship.
I think that's the service which allows you to put in origin / destination and someone will contact you with bid to deliver door to door.
Shaz in Colorado has done this a few times and might have better info.

Jerry,
Even with the grey gelcoat, there are a couple of versions. Is the plywood on punch-out sheets or already loose parts? Do the main formers look cut out for two engines or no? As for shipping, it's too big for the Hound. I've used Forward Air and YRC Freight. If you've already got a buyer, great. If not, I've got a couple of interested parties.

The F22 kit was around #1000.00 to ship to the states. It was a little less but then had customs and other things. Also it cost the same to send 1 plane or 2 planes. So best bet is to find someone else that wants one also and split the freight.
When you really look at it that's not much different then shipping from the other ARF manufactures.
