Default Personal Jetpack

Not to take anything away from the great acheivement of the Jetman and co in Dubai, just wanted to be sure for those interested that you did not miss out ( thankyou to George for adding video link to the other thread ).

On Tuesday November the 3rd the first ever showing by David Mayman and Nelson Tyler of their Personal Jetpack. No need for a helicoper to take off and no need to land with a parachute. Take off where you like and land where you like. It all started with the rocket belt and now it has risen into a twin turbine Jetpack. With two Amt NL "Nike" turbines each delivering 80kgs of thrust personal flight has become a reality. Please enjoy the video.

Yes, amazing what David Mayman has done. Also the many hours of trying. We as AMT did a lot to support David with this project. I did design the PSS (Pilot Safety System) for him which controls the engines in a dangerous situation http://www.rsed.nl/pss.html.

Cheers,

Ray

What happens when either turbine fails (I think I can guess)? I guess that is why he only flies over water in those vids!!!

Well if he continue to hover that low..He might run the risk of a flameout due to water getting into the intake lol. But it's cool as hell
