Default Flaps

We are flying mine with full flaps 5 cm down from fuse side of flap. In looking at videos some appear to be lowering flaps beyond this? I wonder if any issues blanking out tailerons?
thanks

I wouldn't not recommend going below 5cm. I feel that with full flaps it's really hard to maneuver the plane. So going more than 5cm would probably make more turbulences.
In the beginning (before i got used to the 5cm flaps), I use to deploy the flaps only on final because it was so hard - the plane just wouldn't turn.

We all use maximum flap angle SU-27 and 30, I don’t have a cm distance without checking, but it’s way more than 5cm-there is no blanking issue I have experienced in the SU-27 I have flown.

Is there a thread for the su-30 version of this or is it the same jet? Im curious if its the best choice still as we have a skymaster version and now an aerojet version. A dual turbine jet with thrust vectoring is my dream jet and its time to get one going!

Same thread. It’s a few mould differences with fixed canards. SU-27 vectors better…

Yes. The gear is high quality and very reliable. Here's a demo of the new electric gear:

If you need more reason to press the 'buy now' button... check out this video. The CARF SU27/30 is way more maneuverable than the other brand:

Default Thrust tubes not fitting into vectors

The outer diameter of my thrust tubes is a couple mm less than the inner diameter of my vectors (photo). Forcing the tube into the vector might be possible but would likely distort one of both tubes. Has anyone else had this same issue and if so what did you do?

Phil

Hi everyone, I wanted to get your opinion on the original early version kits with Matrix gears. There is a older new never flown early version kit with matrix gears available here locally, and i wanted to know your experiences with the reliability of the gears, Does it retract without any constant issues? I don't mind shimming a little or cut any scale pieces to make them work, more concerned on the design of the unit, especially since i don't think i can get any more parts for it.
I have a few modelers telling me that they are problematic. Thank you in advance
