Well I've not seen a Jeti at a jet meet, have you? lol

In any event, I see mostly Futaba's, then Spek's, then JR's. I have all three....

Wait, really? I've only been to two jet meets in my life (both this year) and saw probably dozens of Jetis in use between the two of them.

Are you sure?

Kentucky Jets 2016 at least 15+ pilots, at the show and after the show we got at least another 10+ guys who are converting. Even other guys are using Jeti Telemetry with they radio systems.

The custom build twin Galaxy all Jeti :-)

Those who think they're at the top have only one direction to fall.

Mr. Jeti USA.
Can you please explain to the group, before your pre-ordering deal is finished, exactly how the DC-24 triplex will work?
Will the 900mhz channel be built into the 2.4 ghz receivers? What is the failover mechanism? What is the failover time?
Will it have a separate receiver and how will this connect to the power distribution? Will it give full 24 channels also?
Will the triplex be available from the start? Will the telemetry still work through the 900mz channel? How do we know when its failed over to the 900 mhz channel?
There is not a lot of detail on this anywhere on websites.

Gotta say seeing you spam every single thread with your commercials really does not do any good for my desire to convert. Could you please stop? There have been enough people asking you nicely already

I feel sorry for the guys wearing yellow shirts. Some are nice guys that don't deserve this Jeti USA dude speaking for them.

It's very simple STOP making stuff up about Jeti. It's the most advance radio on the market at this time, and that's a fact. All of might have different preferences and that's fine with us.

If 2.4GHz comes back the 900MHz is dropped and runs in background.

There are 3 types of setups how to use the new Jeti R3 900MHz receiver
1) Connect to SAT port and setup as PPM Out (picture)
2) Connect 900 and 2.4GHz to the Central Box 200 (CB200 picture)
3) Connect 3x receivers to the Central Box 200/400 (200 needs update for 3rd SAT port)

I saw a friend of mine use a Jeti to fly is fleet of planes a while back. He was gracious enough to let me hold and move the switches and gimbals on the radio to compare with my Futaba 14MZ and 18MZ. After that day I was still convinced that Futaba was by far the best radio compared to the Jeti in terms of feel and ease in programming functions.

I will not touch a Jeti or recommend it to anyone just yet. Just my two cents...

Jeti is fine if you like a Tx. that looks and feels like it was designed in the 1960's.
My bud has the Pizza Box style Jeti and that is much better feeling than the hand held one.
JR 28 has CNC chassis too and it is HEAVY. What benefit does that really give us? Besides marketing I really don't see the advantage.

My biggest complaint with Futaba is the lack of plug and play. Im not that retarded but I can't get telemitry set up on my radio, either can Futaba support, totally lame. All my flying buddies have full telemitry, pitot tube, ECU and all on there spectrum radioes and some of them are more retarded then I am so I'm selling my new (used only a few times) Futaba T18SZ!
Any takers?

TB

The Futaba telemetry works pretty well for me. GPS air data and xicoy turbine data. Took all of 5 minutes to set up.

My Futaba telemetry works excellent! . I am using the futaba GPS sensor with 18mz, also the powerbox teleconvetor on my royals and also CB electronics jetcat telemetry module. Last but not least The ASSi system from Carsten. They all work very well.

Someone got a really good deal on the Jeti I sold at KY Jets. I have nothing against them. I just didn't have time to learn how to use it and there was that issue of having to change out all of my recievers. Also the Jeti Recievers are heavier.

At Wingham Jets near Toronto Canada this weekend there were at least a dozen Jeti's out of about 80 registered pilots. You wouldn't believe how much pressure it takes off when you can give the Tx a slight movement and get it to tell you your remaining fuel The Jeti movement is growing as people realize all the advantages. Talked to many others at the event who have plans to move after seeing and hearing the experience of the guys who are using it.

There is so much more to a radio system than telemetry, or is it some fluke of Nature that RC models have flown so long without telemetry?????

I just love these radio wars, it's sort of like nobody does a dumb thumb anymore, since 2.4GHz radios came out a crash is ALWAYS the radio's fault..... lol

All of the major players out there have great radios these days.. The only difference between JR, Futaba, Spektrum, and Jeti is the Jeti USA guy seems to be the only one who goes out of their way to bash other radios. You just don't see or hear that from the other reps (myself included)

Could not possibly agree more. I saw a couple of guys flying Jetis, loving them, raving about them, and enjoying much better telemetry etc... That had my curiosity up until the Jeti rep started attacking not only the other brands, but insulting their users as well with his remarks dismissing those of us who appreciate the touch screens on our Futabas.

Imo Jeti would sell a lot better if not for the Rep who's poop litters these threads. I'm completely turned off of the brand now.

+1 My same experience. Being proud of, and promoting your brand is one thing. Insulting our intelligence is another.
