I have a BTE Reaction 54. Currently with one battery. I wanna put two for redundancy and also need the extra power to run my Aura 8 that will be plugged inbetween my receiver and servos. My question is can a power box sensor switch work to run all servos, 7 in total. All hitec non HV. I know the switch is rated at 5 amps. Will that be enough or should i go with something like a smart fly super reg?? Using currently one -A123 and wanna add a second.! Plus wanna keep everything at 5.9V

I run my Flash on a sensor switch with no problem , in fact the Carf build instructions show it being used too. On a 7 minute flight I use about 50-60 mah out of each of the two A123's ,100-120 mah total.

On my powerboxes, the current load does not go thru the sensor switch.The switch just turns on the box so that the current can pass thru the loaded circuits, so to speak.

Yeah but I don't have a powerbox. Just wanna connect the power sensor switch directly to my AR9020 receiver. Mainly doing it to use 2 A123 batteries reduce one more switch and have 5.9v steady to everything.

Sensor switch is fine in most sport jets up to 140N size without a vector pipe.
98 % Flashes, Xcalibur, Elans in the UK use one. You'll be good.
PB use the Sensor name on all the PB units which confuse some!

I would use something like the Booma RC Wallaby switch instead of the powerbox and I would put the A123a directly into your Hitec servos and not use any sort of regulator at all. Based on information directly from Hitec, any of their servos rated for 6V operation can safely be used with A123s without any regulation.

The BoomaRC Wallaby is less expensive and can handle twice the current.
