Yellow Twin Hornet Molds sold
Hi Guys,
recently there was an ad for all composite molds of the yellow twin hornet here on RCU. Sadly they were sold before i could get in contact and react. Does anyone have an idea where and to who they went?
Best regards
Hank

I've seen the molds in person and the one jet pulled from them. They are not Yellow molds. These molds were hand crafted by a guy years ago. He passed away and the molds and the one jet were picked up in an estate sale. They are nice, but they aren't the Yellow molds.

I am the one with the molds, they are sold to a gentleman in Canada. I will pass along your info to him. The molds are not Yellow, but where based off of the yellow twin. The gentleman that made the molds used a old kit he had to make the plugs and start up his molds. hope this helps.

One has to wonder - what's going to happen with all of those great, but now out of production models?
For example - Byron/Yellow/CAI - all good examples that splashes could be made of and cottage industries, albeit short lived, could pop up. Guessing that most would keep such production to a "one for me and one for a friend" kind of thing, though. Could be an opening, though particularly if an older company is not aggressive about trying to quash rumored splashes...
Thoughts?

Just wondering if something has popped up?
I had SMS contact with the mold seller, and he wanted to ask the buyer to get in contact with me.....but somehow that never happened.
Im still standing in front of my unfinished project, and wondering what way to commence on ... id really like to go composite, but making custom molds without having a full mold set seems somewhat much energy.
I know Kevin and the Youtube-Bob have a great wing set which im still considering, but from what ive heard they will not be doing the tail feathers.....
Any ideas or sources on composite tailfeathers out there?
Cheers
Hank
PS: first prototype gear dressup has just arrived....wow!

Does he have the right to destroy it ? certainly he does but personally I'd view it as spiteful .
In my opinion all of this stuff deserves to live on .
When I say all , I mean anything there's a pent up demand for .

Hi Guys
Sorry I haven't checked RCU in a while been so busy with work
I do have the moulds they will fit the Yellow F18 Im not interested in making kits its way too much work
Yellow was selling the kit for $1430 that was a steal considering material cost and labour thats why they don't sell them anymore
Yellow was based out of Toronto so I have seen the kit from the beginning my first one had 2 Byron fans and Rossi 81's ( for all the old school guys )
I can make parts foe guys who are interested but not during the flying season
Thanks guys
Ted
