@WimB- Viton is readily available in various imperial and metric IDs from McMaster Carr here in the USA. Not sure about Europe, though as mentioned, it is widely used in automotive fuel systems. I believe Dreamworks carries it as well. Be sure to use the softest Shore rating available. It will remain a bit stiffer than Tygon once immersed, but not enough to affect clunk performance.

I think folks should just go with what they like, I personally like barbs on my fuel system but I have used festo on different applications. Either system will work if done properly

I agree Matt. It is a shame that some people behave like this, posting wildly inaccurate information. Maybe they do it on purpose.. I have found this to be an interesting discussion, which has been contributed to by some very experienced modellers.

You will find the widest choice of fuel accessories and fittings of the market here:

http://www.ultimate-jets.net/collections/fuel-hardware

All 100% designed by me and in-house produced on my CNC machines. Most of this stuff is used on industrial/ military UAV and bullet proof/ professionally tested. All the stuff accessories are listed by size and designed to work together: HF/ UHF/ XHF for 1/16", 1/4", 5/16" IDs.

Seems to me that barbs on the suction side is a good thing. Still I am asking why my new Cheetah SE has Festos. Should I be concerned about this?
