What is the new B All Jet Servo?
Now that the JR 8711 seems to be on its way out, Been backordered for 3 months. What is the new jet guy go to servo?
Im helping a buddy with his Scorpion XL, he has JR 8711 on the rear flying stabs, but one of them will wag on the ground and worries us. So Was looking over the new servos.
I know a lot of guys are going to HV servos but what are the best jet servos that are non HV?

I used these on my F15 and loved them

Think I am going to test out and try these new servos from blue bird on the 1/6 F18.

Depends on the jet. I like my PowerHD servos. I have the LF-20 (277 oz-in @ 6.6V) servos in my P-120 powered Boomerang Sprint and they are flawless. I used them after having the LF-13 (180 oz/in at 6.6V) in a Hangar 9 Valiant for 2 1/2 years without so much as a twitch. They have the Storm series as well that are outstanding as far as I can see with my buddy's Hangar 9 100CC Decathlon that has a DLE 222 in it. He's using the Storm 3 servos (444 oz/in at 7.4V). I'm going to be using the LF-20 servos in my T-One when it gets here as well.
Can't go wrong with the Savox servos Gunradd posted either.

The new JR 8931 is a really brilliant high power servo, incredibly smooth, highly accurate, almost silent, powerful and programmable as well as WIDE voltage. I bought a couple to try with my 28x, I was so impressed I then bought another 10 and am replacing many of the high power servos on my high value models.
Best servo I have ever encountered.
I have been doing long term tests on some JR servos. Some are still working after over 20 years of use. I have a few 505s which are over 30 years old and still work fine! The 9411 servos on my BobCat rudders, very active with the gyro application so lots of stop/starts are still running as well as when new, after 13 years and 300 flights. Still accurate with minimal gear slop. They are remaining there till they, or I , expire!

I switched to MKS years ago and have been very happy. They go into all my jet builds for my customers. Check them out.

David, glad to hear of your long term success with the JR servos still. I have a number of 2721's in many of my jets, my CAI raptor is almost all 2721's. I have 9411's in some of my pylon stuff too.
This thread is good timing as I have been wondering what the new servo to use is. I've always been a JR guy but some of their servos are getting very expensive. I've used 8411, 8611, 4131, 2721, 8231, 3421, 9411 for years. I don't have anything big enough to require the super high power of today's servos so hearing of more long term success is great still.

I've been using HiTec since day one (13yrs ago on jets). I've never had ANY issues with them, even the ones with karbonite gears.
Have also used JR but meh.....overpriced for no reason. I do like their small HV servos, as they are the only ones I know of braking the 65 in-oz barrier on thin wing type. Great for rudders.

You are misinformed !
There have been changes at JR to adapt t to present market trends, but they have no intention of withdrawing from model RC.
See the notice on the JR Japan site, explains the situation.
David.

I've standardized on BLS 175sv and 177sv with SBUS. Brushless motors with soft start etc etc, assign a channel on them and connect them anywhere along the cabling if using Futaba.

Yes the 8711's have been discontinued.
The NX series servos are the new line. They are wide voltage servos, meaning they are designed to work with 4.8-7.4v battery systems, and they all will run in XBus or traditional PWM.
http://www.jramericas.com/?cat=1671
the NX8931 is the replacement for the 8911 and 8711's (numbers from the states)
Also, the 8411 is still available for 4.8-6v systems and for those running 6-7.4v the 8411HV's are available.

How long have you been flying them in your jet?
I've been using Gotech 1611, pretty smooth and enough torque to hand anything I need
