Default She is saved, what you think?

As some of you may know, I lost my Carf Eurosport to a 11 hour Jet Cat Titan that flamed out on me right after takeoff, the Eurosport went down on massive boulders near the lake/Dam

All my jet buddy's said it was dead, the fuse broke in 3 peace's, each wing was damaged bad, the canard broke, intake damaged badly, and lower bombs destroyed, turbine ripped its own wood rails out when it locked up.

But as I have more time than $$ I saved ever part of the jet and only have to order a new canopy from CARF.

I wanted a different paint scheme, and I wanted to add extra carbon fiber to areas of the fuse I felt were way to soft when new. I now I made her a little heavier, but I don't think that will be a issue.

I love mec and fiberglass work, but I have to say rebuilding a jet with some much damage all over was a nightmare, every time I thought I was done with body work, the next day I would find something else that needed repaired.

So how do you feel it turned out?,

Is this grey to light?

Looks great, I too like to bring them back from the dead, of course I don't want to be the one that killed them in the first place

I love the guys that say they are beyond repair... you can get really good deals that way!

Great job, but I would do a load testing before putting it back in the air!
Make sure no hidden internal damage compromised the structure.
A full borescope checkup is also mandatory imho.

Good luck with the remaiden!!

Lol I know. I need them for this one. But $ tight with Christmas. As everyone trying to low ball me. ( put up my fiberglass fuse Ziroli Panther with wood kit , 3in longer foam wings, ROBART retract units, turbine pipe, 2.50 wheels with brakes, fuel tank for $800. And all I get is a offer for $400 shipped.

If if I had the I'd get them from you. But my little girl comes first this time a year. Pluse this is the First Christmas that we live apart. (I'm in the Army which moved me to Rockisland IL while my wife and daughter stayed in Columbus Ohio. I only got 3 years left and the wife didn't want to lose her good government job)

Mike

Great work putting her back together. I felt exactly the same way when I rebuilt my Little Sabre from the mid air at Florida Jets.

Mike,

Congrats on your new jet! It will fly great.

I did nearly the same thing to my first Euro after a similar take off crash when it was "shot down" on 72mhz about 15 years ago. Also on a Titan. The "after" flew great for several more years with about 2 lbs added repair weight.

Yours will too.

Well Done! Looks every bit worth all the effort. Don't worry too much about the weight...some planes actually fly a little better with a little added weight and by this being a delta it just might do quite well. Let us know how your re-maiden goes.
