I agree, RCGroups is a much better site, there large EDF section is a great place to learn some things.

It so much easier to post and put pictures on RCGroups, but there Turbine section is completely dead.
Its not really dead at all.. it just needs more people to post build threads and real jet models. Not the foamies and bobcat look a likes lol
Ive watched it grow in the past couple years, but it needs more variety. (different kinds of jets etc)
The more newcomers that post there.. the better it will become.

The techs tell me they have turned off the ads inside posts for logged in members. If you still see the ads can you please leave a comment in this thread.

Guests will still see the ads.

Bunch of wingers as always who just can not handle any change, I think this new side is just fine, the first time I loaded pictures and flying videos in EDF Jet Forum yesterday it uploaded much quicker and easier than the older system, no problem at all in my book.
Just a sample, enjoy.

Is there a way to view a series of attached pictures w/o having to go back a page and then click the next picture? If not, picture viewing may have taken a step backward.

By the way, the ads no longer interfere with typing. Thank you for fixing that. And thanks for fixing the email links too.

Got to give change a chance, guys. But, do not hesitate to let them know specific things that may need tweaking.

That's because everyone is on FB

Josef Frost: which jet is that one, and who sells it?

Thanks;

I kinda of like it myself, I always hated having to go advanced to add pics now I just click the icon above your message. wish they would more emoji faces to the option box 👍😜😎<------- but they now allow for emojis from your 📱 to be used. It's more up to date now.

I would like to have a signature box for name options

This looks like some forums from the 1990's............seriously dated and downright cheap looking!

Don't like the fact that I can't figure out how to change text attributes like the size, font, etc.

What is going on with the Feature Ads? i don't see any RC related stuff anymore, just general advertising. I have an item for sale and I paid for it to be featured, now it is not showing anymore. Are there plans to change this? will I get my money back? It is not a whole lot, but it is breaking the agreement

Thanks
jack

This definitely looks like a step backward to V bulletin from many years ago. Funny because everyone complained abou the new, (old) format then......

Well I must say that when I first logged into RCU and saw these changes I thought I was done. I am in the middle of a build thread and anything that would have caused me grief with posting would have ended that thread for me. Well today I updated my build thread and was pleasantly surprised top find it much easier to upload my pictures. I thought I was limited to 3 per post but that is not the case. Once you use those three slots simply upload those pictures and add 3 more and repeat as needed. Not only is navigating the files easier, but uploading is way way way faster than before. All in all I think this functionality is a big step forward (or at least a step back in the right direction as I seem to remember RCU working like this in the past). Now the appearance is another story. I am still trying to get used to the look. Yuck!

I posted and it did not show my post. I posted the relatively same content again and then it showed both posts. Several other users appear to have been making posts at the same time as my first post. This was a bit confusing.

Is there a way to view the pics w/o having to click on the back arrow, refreshing the thread and then clicking on the second picture? Used to be a series of pics enlarged like a slideshow.

I would agree that the picture viewing is not as easily done as some other sites. But far better than what you are doing is to right click on the picture and select "Open link in new window". That way when you X out of that picture the web page does not have to reload.

Can anyone explain how to upload pictures without getting this error:

"Your submission could not be processed because a security token was missing."

This should have been a poll of "better" or "worse". I vote worse for all of the reasons mentioned. I hate not being able to view all photos from the tools link. I also don't like not being able to see how old a thread is by the origination date on the thread title.
