Default US Insignia

New season about to start. Lots of new jets, Eh?
Time to revisit how the US insignia should look. Sadly there are some very expensive PNP jets with the star and bar totally wrong.
All pre-painted Skymaster jets have it wrong as well. Falls on deaf ears.

So I offer again this quick sheet.
More detail in the Warbird Forum:

My experience is the Warbird community is more detail oriented. We jet guys...not so much.

Cheers!

THanks for this, there are some of us that care!

"White ARF" is the new "kit" these days.

True dat. The next ARF will be white gel-coat for me. I hate to call out some of the manufacturers, but they make some nice models, so it's worth mentioning again to them.
Small stuff in the bigger scheme of things but.... we are paying for these paint jobs.

Same here.... Next plane will be painted by myself. My last plane had so many misspelled markings it was pretty sad.

When I do a plane I first make sure I can get good documentation so just in case I do scale competition it can be done right.
