Fall Jet Classic Update
The Fall Jet Classic is getting closer and I want to remind you, that to get the discount hotel rate you must reserve your room by August 15th. Call the hotel direct at 812-945-2771 to reserve you room.
While the official dates are September 14-17, the field will be open to early arrivals September 10th.
You can register on line: https://www.rcflightdeck.com/event.cfm?id=6544
You can reserve a 20 x 20 tent and order an event T-Shirt during registration, prepayment required for these items.
Shelter space is plentiful and available on a first come basis and there is plenty of space on the flight line for popups and tents.
There is an overnight storage tent.
RV's are welcome, sorry NO Hook ups, There is water on site and a dump out on the road.
Look forward to seeing you soon.
Bob

I have attached a google earth photo showing the field, the RV area is at the top of the photo (outlined in white) where the driveway makes a hard right turn towards the parking lot.
From the center line of the runway to the tree line straight out, the distance is 2000', the runway is elevated 10 feet above the field in front, so nap of the earth flyers can actually fly below runway level should they chose.
There are photos of the field from last year at the following link:

Well Im back home from the Fall jet classic,
Lots of cool planes and great flying.
Thank you to Bob Belluomini and Bill Beach and the Club Members at the River View Field.. amazing place to fly.. We went through a good amount of Kero, yet we hardly waited to fly. Covered Pits, Electric, Excellent access and Parking, Tents for the Jets, Food on site, 800 ft of PERFECT asphalt, smooth as butter.
Also a special callout to the Harris' and Nashville Jet Band Crew. Thank you so much for the hospitality in your camp, and Little Viper had a ball at the Harris summer camp.
It was great to see everyone.. ah.. back to work..buy more planes..
BTW, Bob & Crew host an Electric Jet event there in June as well.. See Ya'll there!

The (almost) Fall Jet Classic was great and I had an awesome time. Not only is the facility absolutely first rate, but Bob and the ASI event crew did a wonderful job. Many thanks to Bill Beach and Blake Neumann for receiving my shipped plane as well as all the other things they did to make this event top notch.
It was awesome to hang out with such a great bunch of folks that we have in this hobby (Gerry - welcome back, Sean, Glenn - the chef from heaven, Keith, Doug - enjoy that Rebel, Sebastien, Timo, Mark - loved the Vixen, B-rad, Lewis, Scott, Betsy, and the Nashville Jet Band, and especially Goose for hosting me). I look forward to coming back next year.
