I know you guys have all been here.....

Friday will be 7 weeks from order date. I've [annoyingly] asked for an update with no response. What should I expect here?

Will I get a shipping notice? Will it just show up?

Mine was about 6 weeks, but I ordered when there were no holidays to contend with, as for notice, NOT. It just showed up and this was delivered to a PO Box. One thing that they did get right was that I asked for all my contact information to get on the out side of the box "phone number" just incase there was a problem. I do this only because on a past purchase of a Jet, it was about 4 hours away from getting returned to the sender, due to a miss delivery.

It will come.

Shipping notice maybe....just text Dirk his number is on the pacific jet site...

EMS shipping from China work on a priority flight....our plane are the least urgent package to get aboard (per $ spend).....so if there’s no space left it waits....one of mine was shipped the same day and one waited for over a week to get boarded on a flight

Mine took almost exactly 3 months. I ordered July 17th and it arrived October 16th. Others on here said the wait may also depend on the paint scheme you order as some paint schemes may take longer (I ordered the Red Bull). But I also ordered mine near the end of the Jets Over Kentucky sale so there were probably several orders being made during July.

I should FINALLY have mine ready to go within a couple weeks.

I ordered mine on July 8th (during the big sale) and received it on August 24th. No advance warning or shipping info...it was just there when I got home from work.

Don't worry...it will get there.

Yep it will get there. I think mine was 7 weeks and a day, I ordered the same day as Techdad and got mine several days later if I remember right.

Oh and I tested out my 3m bra wing tip tape last weekend, winds were all over the place last weekend you literally might take off one direction and winds would change so much during your flight you land the other direction. I was slow on final just about to touch down and I had a gust pick up the right wing and I just scuffed the left tip. (Asphalt runway) Looks like it didn’t make it through the tape. Actually the tape, other than some black on it doesn’t really look damaged at all.

Two of mine came in six weeks, another in three months, and the other in five months. No notice on arrival, just showed up one day.

Message from Dirk (thanks dansy for the suggestion):
It's about to come out of paint. Remember you bought a PNP, they take a few weeks longer to build than just an ARF.

I'm guessing May 1.

Hope they have another sale. I ordered mine around July 6th. Showed up like magic. Still in it’s original box! Been sitting on the shelf since then.

Dave,
Glad to see you got it. Let me know if you need any help with it. Once you get it done and you want we can meet at the field one day after work, check balance and do taxi testing.

I took mine to the field for the first time Saturday, cg was perfect with full UAT. I found out I installed the fuel pump lines backwards. Not a big deal to fix when I got it back home but I obviously couldn't run the turbine. Hopefully the first run will be this week.

Curious.. What are you guys doing for battery setups? Are there any popular combinations that work well for cg?

Here’s a pic of my install. I have the single 2100 Life ECU pack right in front of the tank, and then on either side of the tank I have a Fromeco 2600 LiIon. With my layout as shown and a K85 I’m balancing at 206mm.

Thanks! that's pretty much exactly what I have in mind. Kingtech sells 6.6v 2100mah rx packs, so I'll probably just give those a try with my turbine.

Venting Question. My jet came with a vent tube (fuel line) just sticking out of the bottom of the fuselage. They also plumbed the smoke tank as an overflow, so I should be able to stop filling as soon as there is fuel in the onboard overflow.

Question - what can I use to cap or terminate the raw fuel line coming out of the bottom of the jet? I'm considering the PRCJ STD 6MM FUEL VENT WITH CAP

https://pacificrcjets.com/collection...-vent-with-cap

What do you think?

Dan

If they plumbed the smoke tank for fuel you could fill until the smoke tank is full. I didn’t install the smoke tank only the main and fly 7 minutes with the k85 and usually land with about 1/3 of a tank left. I’m not flying full throttle the whole flight if you’re going to do that I would set my timer at 6 minutes and see what you have left. At full throttle she REALLY moves but also gets small really fast.

For the vent tube I'm using the same fitting you have listed, works great.
