I don’t want another jet oil war. But I’m hoping to be flying in a month and used the last of my 4 th 5 gal jug of DTE Light
But this year I have 2 king Tec motors, 1 Jetcat , 1 Jetmunts
I was going to order 2 gal from Kingtec as they told me if I use DTE Light I will need to send it in early.
But how will Kingtec oils play with the rest of my fleet? I refuse to carry more than one brand of oil/fuel
My buddies at Elite and talking about useing 2stroke oil at 1/2 quart per 5 gal.
So what say you

I bought a case of Aeroshell 500 just before Barry et al, all stated that KingTech warranty was void if anything but their oil was used in their engines.
So I bought another jersey modeler and use one for KingTech oil and the other for all my other engines. Kind of a pain in the keister, but I found a solution that I like.
Once my aeroshell 500 is gone, I’ll just use the KingTech stuff.
Now if other manufacturers started having problems with everyone else’s stuff.....I’d start getting upset

I did some reading on the oil type required for Jetsmunt a couple years ago and found that Kingtech oil meets the spec for both kingtech and Jetsmunt turbines. The Kingtech oil also has some good additives that in my opinion makes it very good oil for our turbines.
I ran Kingtech oil in my both my Jetsmunt and Kingtech turbines for a couple seasons with no problems.

Me being an aircraft mechanic I had allot of time back in the day working on a planes that used 2380..... It's very toxic. Now if I even get close to the stuff my eyes start itching.
The kingtech oil was made by a chemist at shell specifically for our turbines. During overhauls and service inspections Dirk can tell you exactly what fuel and oil you run based on coking and smell. By far the best combo has been kingtech oil and diesel.

There are lots of things that work, this is what works for me

Gunradd nailed it on the head. I was recently talking to Dirk as well. And he said exactly what Gunradd said. Kingtech oil and Diesel. Easy to clean, and keeps turbine looking good and new. Diesel makes more power and is more efficient.

We have nasty diesel with some biodiesel some times it stinks like bad eggs that's why I'm going with kerosine ,we could buy it at the pump for maybe 45c more than diesel per gallon ,I think that kerosine it's much cleaner than diesel ,using king oil with kingtech turbines and Mobil jet ll with other brands and almost no diesel only if there no kero option .

I only run Kingtech oil. From reading the post here, I would say we have a clear winner.

I agree with sebastian on the Diesel.. I dont like the smell, and we get water in it up here in the midwest. I have taken to using a MrFunnel when I fill from the pump. I put the oil in the can first, and store the mixture fully mixed.. I used to store it raw.. I changed my ways when I talked to Barry about how the oil helps suspend the particles in the diesel and kerosene.. I put some KT oil in a jar mixed with Diesel and another with Kero.. Let them sit for 4 months over the winter.. The KT oil stayed fully mixed that entire time.. so I decided to go with it..
My point: whatever you use.. put some in a jar with the mix.. let it sit.. if it separates, you do not have a good combination.. The bearings need very little oil, but they need some.. The oiler hits the shaft in the front, and spins down the shaft and out the back.. the rest burns.. so the oil has to burn cleanly, and still have styptic properties.
