pilot size for ziroli panther
Does anyone have experience on which size to purchase? This is what I have but may seem a little small.
I have the 10 inch pilot and think I need the 12 inch. What do you think?

That is the correct size, 10". I used warbirdpilots.com 10" British pilot, I should have gotten the green or tan uniform, but oh well. The head was a little on the small side, because they use the same head on the 1/8 and 1/7 figures.
I wanted the correct helmet so I sculpted the correct size head and the correct period helmet, but used the goggles and oxygen mask.
Here is the problem with the Ziroli, the canopy is extremely over sized. I used the canopy as a mold and made a fiberglass frame, then cut it down to the correct size and at the same time moved the frames in the rear part to the correct location. I then made a mold without frames so I could vacuum form the clear part.
Using a side view of the Panther you can use reference points like the intake to get a good idea how far back and where the frames should be on the canopy.

I built an Ziroli Panther that I blew up to an 80" wing span. Its interesting what you said about the canopy - I used the stock Ziroli canopy on my Panther and I set it up with the canopy frames so it is about 1/4" longer than stock. It looks perfect on the larger Panther - so you must be right, its too big for the stock 72" wing span Ziroli Panther.
I used the Century Jets Cougar cockpit and pilot on my Panther...
