If the nose is that much shorter than a true scale version then yes I guess I will consider not mounting the motor in the tail and bring it forward and use a tube. Thanks

Not much, I heard the RPM is a tad under P20/Kolibri. Also heard new preorders were to be delivered in november. €1650 is mentioned as pre order price but not sure if it includes VAT or not. Also waiting for the installed weight info :-)

I did some CAD while waiting.

Henke.... thanks for the comparison chart. I would still love to get my hands on a Kolibri... but it's looking like the new K30 will be the best small engine with USA support !!! AND, and a great price point.

I thought this was a really cool solution for a smaller foamie, but the T25 is smaller than the K-30 for this application. Looks like a piece of ply on the tail for a heat shield.

The F14 got all the fuel in front of CG, which is not optimum. I don't like how if flies, but I sure like the looks! K30 would fly it well, just mount it further forward and use "our" 40mm thrust pipe. Available from [email protected]

I'm happy to make conversion kits also for K30, I just need to get the data from a real engine. There are tons of 90mm EDF's that are suitable. Foam, balsa or fiberglass. A K30 with 3kg of push maked power as a hot 10S setup, so if you get the weight right it will be like flying at 6S weight with 10S power and 8min flight times. How ever, you need to get the engine forward! Just bolting it were the EDF sat will NOT cut it. It simply needs forward all the way up against the fuel tank. It's simple, but some how over seen by most.

Pop the engine forward always!!

Yeah, haft the price, half the power :-) This or a P20 makes the same when installed is my guess. P20 a little lighter, a little less fuel needed, K30 little more power, little heavier, more fuel.

Yes, they always have. Makes more smoke at shut off though. The thing is Jet-A is a world wide definition, diesel is not. Diesel can be a lot of different stuff, so it's much easier for the manufacturers to limit to jet-A, while most diesel will run perfectly fine. Over here we got 5% bio oil. (Not bio diesel, bio oil. Equivalent to your soy oil) in the diesel. This is perfect as we need no extra oil. I think it's superb that Kingtech officially says diesel is ok, makes the flying a lot easier when you get hold of fuel with no hustle.

My contact at Kingtech is not visiting Jetpower this year and is not answering general questions about K30 such as how it's coming along or if it will be on display at JP. We'll se on 2 weeks!

Just playing around with my SuperViper!

Now the K-30 is to find on KT Web... Need to find some good models for this engine

Noted that diesel is not listed as an fuel option for the K-30 as for the other KT engines.

K-30G2 [K-30G] - $1,500.00 : KingTech Turbines, KingTech Turbines
