Default Louisiana Jets gonna happen this year?

Is the Louisiana Jets rally in Mansfield going to happen this year? I spoke to someone that said it was listed in the AMA mag, but I can't find it in the online version. It's not listed on the Shreveport (guys that usually put on the event) club page or the US jet event sticky either.

Has anyone confirmed it's still on? The only place its listed is in that magazine, odd that there's no mention only 6 weeks out.

Sent an email to John this morning. Within 30 minutes he had responded with a flyer showing the above dates. So I guess it is official. Looks like we may have a crowd going down from OKC.

Thanks for the reminder about this rally! Just realized I have vacation set for that week and I'll be able to make it, sweet! Went last year but just to spectate and it was a great flying location and laid back atmosphere. This year I'll be flying for sure

I'm still watching the weather. I don't mind sleeping in a tent, but a tent in the rain I'll avoid if I can.

Mike,

The airport has pilot sleep quarters, so if it does rain you can move in there.
I think I remember there are 2 or 3 bedrooms
See you there

OK, just heard from the Shreveport folks, as I type this TWO 20X40 tents are being put up and are FREE for pilots to use. All pitting will be on asphalt. There is a third tent going up but that is being paid for by a group of pilots. Remember, a fish fry friday evening for all pilots. Fish, alligator, shrimp, corn on the cob and whatever else we can find crawling around plus dessert.

Pretty good crowd already waiting at the gates, just waiting on tents to go up. Really looking forward to this one. Ran into some old friends already; Bob, Dawn, Steve and Vernon.
