Default jeti voice command

can we create a voice activated fucntion with jeti ds-24 like "gear down" and have the radio drop the gear without us touching the switch?

Yes. However I had challenges with the robustness of activating the voice commands due to noise level at the flight line.
I will recommend you still keep a switch option available.

don't waste your time, I set it up for several telemetry values. It worked fine inside but wouldn't work outside at all.

also if you setup voice commands and the radio interprets any conversation you might be having the wrong way,it could do something you don't want it to do simply because it misunderstood you . i'd stay away from that.

I have that on my DS-16, using the pink add on module in the picture.

I can see it now. You're on short final, spotter for the guy next to you tells his pilot "Looks great with the gear up" - hilarity ensues.

...even worse - spotter says: I think you may have an 'Engine Shut Down' and another jet shuts the engine down while it is taking off...

No thank you, I will stay away from voice command - anyway, it is extremely irritating to have all the electronic chatter in the pilot's box.

For that you can just connect your timer to your throttle stick, only to run when throttle is above 10% or so, impossible to forget that way

the thing i really hate about the countdown timer is there's no way to turn of the stick vibrator. i've had several times when i was flaring ,that thing started vibrating. i almost threw the transmitter the first time as it startled me .

Pretty sure if you select BEEP instead of voice there is no stick shaker when the timer expires. If you REALLY want voice timer call out and no stick shaker edit TimerV.jsn and remove the stick shake when the timer expires. Unfortunately you'll need to repeat that process following a transmitter software update. Still , maybe the next upgrade will have a control to turn stick shake on/off in the timer menu. For now those are a couple of work arounds...
