Default Vario prop for K100TP?

I’m looking for a prop for a kingtech K100TP, and was thinking to use a Vario Prop system for it. You guys think it’s a good idea? Has anyone tried one?

That’s a good system, but pretty expensive, on the Tucano a nice 3 blades would work the same....did you get the motor yet?

I got a Skymaster 5 blades for my PC21 will be on the K100TP as well....

No turbine yet, but I’ll go with the K100TP for sure. The vario props are actually not that expensive. Actually less the the 5 blade from Skymaster and it’s adjustable. A 3 blade (which is what I’m looking for) is not much more then a normal fixed prop. A 5 Blade is around $350CAD, the skymaster 5 blade is $500CAD. So pretty decent price.

Just a reminder, if you are looking for a five-blade propeller for your Kingtech 100 tp, give Gerhard at Aircraft International a call. He may have the JC SuperProp 24x24 five-blade propeller in stock that sells for approximately $225-$250. I have been using the JC SuperProp 24x24 five-blade prop on my SM PC-21 for a while, and it is a good combination.

Unfortunately not yet. Ended up working on other planes this season. Hoping to order the engine sometime over the winter.

I already have the SM 5 blades for the K100TP, but is the JC better in any way?

I have run the Skymaster 24x23.5 five-blade and the JC SuperProp 24x24 five-blade props. IMO, I didn't notice much difference in the flight performance of my PC-21. So price was the only consideration for choosing the JC SuperProp over Skymaster propeller. The attached picture shows the JC SuperProp 24x24 five-blade and 24x24 four-blade props. Also have a JC SuperProp 24x24 three-blade prop that can't be used with the KT-100tp, so will soon list it in the Marketplace.

David, I got my PC21 unbuild but from another fellow....with pretty much everything including the SM prop...so I will run that one for now, I was aware of JC prop but got no experience with them, if I ever need another one, I will certainly try those...he seem to make good stuff. Thank you for the info..
