Default Kingtech K-160G2 mounting distance

Greetings,

I'm installing a new K160G2 in a BVM F16. What is the mounting distance from the end of the turbine to the beginning of the exhaust tube (not the bell)? I know it's 1" on the K-85 but not too sure on the K-160.

thanks.

Dan

I just looked through both the G2 and Legacy Kingtech manuals online and I can't find a single reference to that. When I get mine unless I hear otherwise I think I'll be doing the "TLAR" technique.....lol (1"or so). Dan please post if you learn something more about this

I had a couple guys respond on FB. According to Kingtech it's the same on all turbines up to the K210: 1". More specifically, 20-30 mm but most guys stick with 1"

A rule of thumb I’ve used for years is that I try to line up the end of the turbine with the start of the bell mouth. It’s worked well for me!

My K 160 G2 is 1" from the thrust tube. Been working just fine.

‘If you don’t believe me, text Dirk.....he will tell you what he told me...all motors at least up to 210 have to be at the exact same distance.....size doesn’t matter LOL

Isn’t 1” right in the middle of that 20-30mm recommendation at 25mm?
