Default DF converted to Prop.

Anyone ever taken a smaller scale df plane and mounted a healthy prop engine up front. I was just thinking that Most of these ARF propjets are more of a sportscale design where as those df jets are down right scale in detail.

Default Careful

Having tried a "prop sport jet" design myself, a few years ago, I think the main problem is going to be the CG. I built mine resembling an F-16, (image attached) and the CG was always too far forward. That's the reason that the "sport prop jet" kits are built the way they are. Maybe if you find a scale jet with a shorter nose moment, it could work.

Good luck.

Default The prop jet photo

Thanks!

It would have done fine, if I had designed it as a pusher, but I was trying to "re-calibrate reality", and it didn't work. Oops... Now I know.
