FAA Issues Resolved For Jets Over Kentucky 2023
Issues with Large Model Aircraft have been resolved!
The news of problems sent me into shock, as I envisioned
"Oh No Not Again!"

Our airport manager Carl Watson,
County Judge Barry Smith, U.S. Senator Mitch McConnell, U.S.
Representative James Comer, State Senator Jimmy Higdon, FAA, and Lewis Patton all worked together to solve this unexpected problem.
I've been assured that next year will be STRESS FREE !

Jets Over Kentucky Golf Carts will have a delivery charge, and state sales tax added.
The amount charged last year was sufficient to absorb those costs, but this year will
be a loss to the event. The additional amount is 25.00, and will be payable when you
pick up your cart. Anyone wanting a refund can get one, but have to let me know immediately.
Again, total cost is now 325.00.

Jets Over Kentucky 2023 / 20th Anniversary Awards

In celebrating our 20th year, all 34 awards will feature this design. Previously this design
was only presented to the JOK "Grand Champion" each year, but this year is special. Sponsors
will only be charged the usual 75.00, and the event will pay the difference. This award retails for
225.00 and represents 20 great years for
"The World's Grandest Jet Event"

Big Top Tents Are LOOOOOOONNNGGG!!

The Vendor's tent is 40X560ft, and the Pilot tent is right at 40X400ft (flight line in the center).
Tent deadline is Friday June 23rd, and direct contact to me is the only way
to endure you have a space. Popup tents are placed at the ends of the
big tents, and there is no charge.

Jets Over kentucky Tents Officially 40X980 For 2023

It's official for 2023; our tents are 980ft in length for 2023. Registration is now 4 slots wide to better facilitate everything we do.

Note: Sponsors were moved to the front of the vendor tent this year. Position in the tent is reflected in the level of sponsorship chosen.

Slot numbers will not reflect exactly where you were last year; pilots and vendors added much needed space for their requirements. As
models increased in size, so did the need for space.

JOK Tent List To Publish MONDAY. There are 3 slots built in for anyone needing a spot at the last minute.
One on the vendor side, and two on the pilot side.

The grass will be cut shorter this year under the tents.

Participated In A Parade Today.

The City Of Campbellsville, Kentucky held its annual July 4th parade today, and invited
us to being a few jets. It was tons of fun, and thousands of people attended! I was SHOCKED at the
number of spectators; with at least 15,000 to 20,000 people in attendance! Hopefully most of them
attends "The Worlds Grandest Jet Event" starting Saturday.

JOK 2023 Tent List

Registration had to add additional slots; WE JUST DIDN'T HAVE ENOUGH ROOM.

Sponsors were placed according to their level of sponsorship; therefore your
slot number may be slightly different than last year. Also, a few pilots added
additional slots.

If you see a mistake don't panic; just let me know. This was a huge undertaking,
and I sincerely hope everyone understands they simply can't be up front.

JOK Camping Map
I will be there Saturday morning to mark the camping spots
Sites 2A-4A and sites 19A, 20A and 21A are reserved
If you arrive early please try to go to the site you had last year.
The water spigot location is marked.
Please remember if you have a RV with an internal generator, exhaust stacks are required so you don't asphyxiate your close neighbor.

If you need waste service Bobby Marcum will be on site every day, he can pump your tanks and I believe he also has potable water for a fee.
