I have been balancing at 400mm from the leading edge at the root. I was planning on putting a litre or so of fuel in it and checking that 420mm recommendation. I will probably install a couple larger batteries but it will still need some weight. The spec sheet states 1lb of ballast. Currently balanced at 400mm my dry weight is 38lbs I'm not sure about the 140 turbine size suggestion

Thanks for the info Garry, hopefully we get a early spring and we can try them out . What scheme did you get ? Hope to Titesville this spring ...there are a few videos of it flying with a 140 but off of blacktop runways grass might need more . I have a 170 in mine .

I ordered at the end of October and received at the beginning of February. Mike Lin and GJC did a great job with shipping update notifications. The one I have has no panel lines, It has gear doors, nose gear lights, wing tip lights, speed brakes, cockpit, and some raised panel detail. GJC also has a "super scale" version.

Servos here. They look pretty good and came with aluminum arms I have them on a cycler to burn them in and they seem pretty smooth. Got the radios set up as I wanted, now have 20 channels to work with. Was a little more brain power than I expected but I got there. All flight controls will be on the CB220 and the lights, gear, brakes, and doors on the CB100. The R7A40 have long leads with dipole antenna. Hope to get the elev, rudd and speed brake servos mounted today.

I’m just doing the final setup on controls. I have not weighed mine yet. I’m also using the FrSky servo pack. However the factory had installed them. I also ordered mine on the group order back in October as the ARF Pro Wired.

Although I have been quiet the last couple of days doesnt mean I havent been busy. Got all the flight control servos installed. I did make a mistake installing a flap servo and striped the gears. New one enroute. I installed the RX mounts and played with the battery trays. I will adjust the main gear doors tomorrow and start hooking up the gear controller. Still very happy with the jet.

Got a lot done today. Batterys came and I changed connectors. Got all leads in tail secured, double checked servo travels, labeled wires and mounted tail. New servo. enroute
to fix my screw up and then all the doors will be finished. Will get the wings on next week and cycle gear and get doors sequencing properly. The nise wires will be secured after i decide where to moint UAT and power pack. With a little luck I should be real close to a maiden by next weekend.

This is a big jet. First time with wings on. Was working the gear sequencing when I encountered a minor problem. The wiring harness from the flaps/aileron servos is too short for the multiplex port in the fuselage. Will make some extensions for a fix. Just about everything need to fly is in it now except Power Pack and UAT. I've been watching Harry Curzon sequencer vids and am only minorly confused now so I'm getting close.

my harness was taped a few places near the flap and aileron servo hatches I was able to remove tape and there was enough slack in the harness to fish it into the front rib area so it easily plugs in

Been swamped with home stuff and bad weather. Balanced today. Here are the numbers for a slick jet (no tanks) and with tanks. Had to add 1#13 oz to balance on a 410mm cg. Tanks will require another .5 lbs. Will fly initially as a slick jet. I have to move Power Pack and UAT far forward for these numbers. I'll start that process tomorrow as they have not been mounted yet.. Got another servo for nose door to match the rest. (So far the FrSky's are pretty good.) I received a new R3 today and will tackle that tomorrow. Nice weather today for outside work and rain tomorrow for inside work.
Wt with tanks
wt slick and first attempt with balance
