Default Xicoy gear controller question

Is anyone using one of these controllers with the encoder feature? I have a need for this functionality but I want to be certain it works beforehand. I don’t know of any retracts that use the encoder function , but I need it to stop the retract before it jams hard at the end of travel.

Thanks in advance

Are you talking about the serial input or something else?

I’ve used the serial input on all three planes I’ve installed one in. No problems.

No, there are three pin connections in the controller connector port where you plug in your retract gears. One is for negative and one is for positive and one is for an encoder input.

The serial input is from your receiver to actuate the gear, brakes etc.
