I forgot to ask this one earlyer but how many washers do you put in the back bolt of the mount to raise it.

How many and what size

I used a 1/4 inch wide strip of 1/16 inch plywood across the back of the mount.
This worked out well.

Default Roo mount

The picture in the manual shows the back of the mount raised four washers. The directions say they are 5.3 X 10 mm washers. From experience, raise the back 1/16" as Pete mentioned above.

I PURCHASED A ROO ALREADY SET UP FOR A RAM 500 AND WAS WANTING TO USE MY MERCURY. HAS ANYONE DONE THIS BEFOR? THE MOUNT IS SOME TYPE OF CASTING MAYBE ALUMINUM.HERE IS A PIC. THANKS SCOTT

Default Roo turbine mount question

It looks, from that photo, like someone cut two RAM mounts and used the radial blade and about half of each mount on each side and stuck the radial blade down into the Roo pedestal. I would be wary of how well the blades are fastened to the pedestal. Pull and push like hell on it.
