All,
I recently purchased a Starfire, and didn't get the manual with it.It is close to ready, but I need some verification of recommended aileron and elevator throws.I haven't been able to get in touch with the seller or Yellow Aircraft.Any help would be appreceated,as I'd like to fly it this weekend. Thanks in advance !

Hi Erik,
My Starfire II has 1 inch on elevator, 1.5 inches on rudder, and 1 inch on aileron. Measurements are each side of neutral. I have 40% expo programmed on aileron. That gives smooth roll control at small stick deflections, and a really fast roll rate with full stick. I would not want that much aileron travel without the expo.

Eric.....I'm still in the process of building my Starfire so I have the manual. It states:
Elevator 3/4" up & down
Aileron Low rate 3/8 up & down
Middle rate 1/2" up & down
High rate 3/4" up & down
Flap deflection 35 degrees max
Rudder 1" right & left
I'm sure those that have flown this plane have their own preference and could tell you so. This is just what the manuel states and is usually a good starting point.
Hope this helps......Mike
