I deal with this alot these days with the guitar business. Basically, if somebody says western union I don't deal with them. 99% of the time the scam involves a western union wire transfer.

I alerted the webmaster at www.jojomail.com that one of it's users was using his email system to attempt to defraud.

I got the same email today. I have become very wary of anyone who is looking to buy anything especially international. Fortunately for me I have the knowledge to track the header information back to the source. This guy states he is from Australia which jojomail is actually from, but the originating IP Address of this guy actually is in Israel. I sent the bottom feeding son-of-a-b*&^% a very nasty email back. This kind of crap just makes me sick.

This scam is like a chain-letter that just won't die....I got the same scam about 5 years ago when I was trying to sell 2 Bose aircraft headsets......Point of origin at that time was Nigeria....

I export medical equipment, these guys run rampant in our business community. Same wording in almost all of the scam attempts.

In reply to Randy M.....I have a fake check for $8500.00, one for $8000.00 and one for $11,000 all of which came within 2 weeks of each other (hanging on the wall as a lesson) from Ireland, Nigeria, and The Netherlands. This is a big scam where they will try to intimidate you into wiring money into a foreign country. Best way to defeat them is to either stay away or demand a contact number, address, and inform them of a mandatory hold on (usually 7 business days) the funds to verify their authenticity. I think if you respond to one they send your name out as a potential sucker to others.

The other scam out there is you are a long lost heir to some huge fortune (15 million to 35 million) or they are trying to get their funds out of a repressive country. They need you to forward your bank account number so they can deposit the money in it (yeah right) or you have to send them money to pay for a lawyer in their country that will help with the transfer. Don't fall for it. Lastly, if it sounds to good to be true.................

Yep, I've been getting both of them lately:

Hello,
Thanks for the mail and I will really love to get the Ziroli P51 from you, So please i want you to remove that Ziroli P51 from further advert placement in the net. The price $1500:00 is very much okay by me for the Items and as regards shipping of the Ziroli P51, i have a shipping agent who normally takes care of all my shipping consignments, so do not worry yourself about that, i will take care of that myself.
Yes it is My creditor in the U.S is actually going to be responsible for the payment for the Items, and i have told him about this transaction and he told me that he will be sending the payment to you, he said the money i loaned to him has incured some interests and he will be sending my money to you with the commission, meaning you will be expecting a payment that is a little bit higher than the cost of the Items Please after the cost of the Items, can i trust you to refund my balance funds back to my shipping agent who will be coming for the pick up of the Items? do let me know this, cos its very important.
Please if this arrangement is okay by you, kindly send to me your full Name and Address so that the payment can be made to you next week. Also include your phone number so that i can give you a call to discuss in details. Also remember to include a pics of the servos in your next mail, and do keep the title document and every other relevant papers of the Ziroli P51 set and intact for the shipping agent who is coming for the pick up of the Ziroli P51 Have a nice day and thanks once again for your response to my mail.
best regards,

Mark.
