OK Guys, what don"t you like about building, myself I hate finishing. I spend more time sanding ,painting, sanding and more sanding , just never ends, or maybe it"s because I have more than one plane been finishing at one time.
I think it would be better to build one plane at a time.

I hate hinging!! I'm doing gear doors right now on my Tango, and even that's a pain pain pain. It took me probably 8 hours or more to do roughly 20 to 25 hinges throughout the control surfaces. It just sucks. I even had to redo 3 of them on a flap, and I'm still not entirely happy with them. I liked what someone else said on another thread, like Yosimate Sam "I hate a'hingin" or something like that............

I hate that while I take time to build and produce something different, That A deep wallet can go out and buy an ARF and just goes and flys. But I never liked all those f-15/p-51 and dime a dozen planes. Even if they do fly o.k.
Where's the challenge, Oh wait I'll got to get my fishing pole.

I agree with Sean, hinging is my nemisis!!! I have horrible time getting them all aligned properly and then setting the depth. As for finishing I hope to try the "Klass-kote" next, as I really miss the good ole Hobbypoxy.

try opening and finish 8 gears doors made of kevlar and carbon fiber (you never get rid of kevlar fuzz), then hing properly for scale appearance, end then make instalation of horns and cylinders, without plans and aiming scale functionality!!That's a nightmare that i´m having with Fiberclassics MIG 29. anyway, gear doors are the most bothering tasks when building scale models!
for an acrobatic model, i have no complains, i love everything, even installing around 20 hinges!!

I HATE BUILDING--PERIOD. And YES, I KNOW I"M SHOUTING!!!
But then, I hate most jet ARFs, and can't afford the rest... And there is NO WAY I can afford to have a builder do the work for me.
SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO, I guess I'm stuck with building--Until I win the lotto!

I hate covering the plane. Your at that point where the plane is finished but not sure how you want it covered. had one plane sit for almost a year before I finally decided on a color scheme.

I hate painting. Setting up to paint and taked down end of the day is a pain.
Before I don't mind doing it. Because I has the big shop. Now work at home cutting down the exspense. Space is the problem.
I got couple scale jets to finish. Never in the mode to setting up to paint.[

I hate paying for all the little bits you need to build it!
I can't believe what you spend in bolts, aluminum servo horns, ball links, nuts, brakes, and all the little stuff you don't really think about.
With jets it's tail pipe's, fuel tanks, struts, etc etc etc. I bought the spectre cuz it was an inexpensive kit, but man, I just don't think there's much inexpensive about any jets LOL!!!!
My favorite parts are the painting, and radio/electronics installations

Like the rest I hate hinging. I also hate lining the stab and fin, it always seems like no matter how careful I am it still does not look "perfect". I think the thing I hate most of all is waiting for a new kit to arrive!

I hate this scenario:
It's 4.30am already.
The 3 hour epoxy task you're doing is going horribly wrong,
You got to leave for work in a couple of hours !

How about just go ARF?
You don't have to sand or print, just enjoy fly![8D]

I myself hate ARF/ARC kits, IMHO you really dont learn anything about how it is built or how to build it. Guess I'm old school when it comes to building....

AirPac F15, bought one... like it.
Building time isn't really a pain. Building is fine for those who like the old school, have lot's of time and have all the right tools. I'd rather spend less time building and more time flying. The AirPac F15 does just that. Better put "Some like blonds and some like brunmetts, I guess you just have to pick your preferance?" For what's its worth, a friend of mine bought a Jet kit last July, it's still under construction! I bought a Roo to get going, I flew in a few weeks! So maybe the ARF's can get you flying while you build the kit jet? As for me, I like Blonds!
