I'm looking for recommendations on a tuned pipe for my OS .91 VR-DF. It is going in my Bob Parkinson Blue Hornet. The only one that I know of (including web site) is Macs. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I like the PMP(Performance Model Products) pipe from England. Steel, lightweight, no special seals required-just Viton o-rings. They also have a small microwave pipe about 9" long that works well in my F-22. Check the RCJI magazine for availability.

If you e-mail great northern models at:<[email protected]> they should be able to tell you what tuned pipe is recommended for the O.S. .91.

I presume this is a tractor setup with a Ramtec or Dynamax. If so the choices are:
Jet Hangar Hobbies pretuned pipe
Top Gun Aircraft pretuned pipe (from Trim Aircraft in Australia I believe)
Bob Violet Models pretuned pipe
Performance Model Products pretuned pipe (from UK)
Jet Model Products System II pretuned pipe
MACS 15cc Pipe, (1560???) must buy header
Probably are others. Best bet is to use a pretuned, one piece pipe and save yourself some effort. All the pretuned ones above are generally in the $90-$125 range, don't know about MACs or JMP. Any and all work. You can find them all on the internet. I've seen all of them and used most. My preference is for the BVM pipe with pipe pressure.

JMP. No funky nipples to break off, nice positive locking clip. Its perfect for the hornets and equally perfect for the 1/9 f-15s. Seen the rest...got the best.

Go with the best- JMP System II
you can go a whole season and then some with out having to worry about the stupid "O" ring failing or the nipple breaking off or the pipe hitting the nipple and creating RF noise.
To many pluses and no negatives on this one.

I thought this thread died out a long time ago! Anyway, I bought the JMP systemII pipe off from KXH121 a while ago. I too like the positive lock onto the header. The F18 will be ready to fly in about a month. I guess I'll appreciate the pipe then.

I graduated from Tech, so I would appreciate it if you didn't filthify my forum with your anti-Yellow Jacket semantics!
Kidding-- my whole family went to UGA and I was the black sheep (wanted an education I guess).
I'm a little bitter about loosing to WF in the last few minutes of the 4th quarter today
GRRRR!!!.
