Actually Bob....

Make that Facet, Euros, Tangos, Roo's, Bobcats, Santorin's, and now a Draken .....

Looking for an unusual subject to do scale for possible TG entry in the future..... Draken might just fit the bill

Todd

Mike,

wing span is 1360mm or roughly 53.5" and designed for 8-12kg or 17 to 27lbs thrust. Dont have $$$ yet.

Ok, when you find out let me know. I just got a new turbine and it needs a home.

If you need any documentation or any other info of the"35", as we called it in the Swedish AF. I´d be more than happy to help you out.
It also has a service history in Austria/Denmark and Finland.

Thomas

SJN,
How scale is the liebetrau kit? Is this kit accurate or standoff scale?
Thomas,
Thanks for the offer, I'll certainly be in touch if I decide to go this route. I have always been facinated with the "35" and think it would be a good plane for scale competition. Lots of documentation and plenty of schemes to choose from.

Thanks,
Todd

Todd,

The Liebetrau 35 was on display at the Jet Power meeting last october. I have not compared it against a 3 view but it looks real good and flies like if on rails. However there's not much fuselage on this plane and it seems hard to see in flight....so big Swedish orange numbers are a must on the wings!!!

Does anyone know its price?

Florent

For information:

The plugs and moulds were made by Manfred Eberhardter from austria. He flew the Draken at the 2001 JWM. I don't know his results, but I think you can make a good scale-jet out of the kit.

Greetings,

David

Nauwa,s Draken is designed for ducted fan so the intakes are to large but it looks good anyway

Hi all,
Many moons ago (at least 5- 6years) there was a Saab Draken flying in the Uk on D/F power it was quite slow as i remember (red with the yellow lion)....But with a turbine it should wake it up think a p160 will do the trick[sm=lol.gif].

Hello Todd.

My German friend Friedhelm Schäfer flies the Liebetrau Draken with a P80. Quite heavy but a very good plane. There is enough power from the P80.

I have also seen Johan from Nauva Model fly his Draken with a SimJet 1700. Loved it when he made the barrel role right after take off. That is also a great plane, but I think it is a bit small for turbine.

A year ago i send a Few e-mails to Nauwa models, I asked them about the Draken and Also about a Gripen i heard they had in the works. I never got a Reply nothing, i see no updates on there Webpage its the same as it was a year ago. I Fly a D/F Gripen and i'm sure there Draken flies as good as the Gripen. Its an interesting Jet especially on Landings.

F900,

I have the same experience as you.......I hope that NAUWA are still in business as the Tunnan is quite nice......a change from the Mig-15 scene.

Thanks to everyone for the info and Pics! The Nauwa model is not scale (intakes) and a bit too small for my needs, Peters kit looks good though.

Much appreciated!

Ok, you're driving me nuts man! How do you do it? I was at the Triple Tree Jet flyin a month or so ago and they were giving me grief because I was the only guy they knew with only one jet! With time and $'s that's all I can keep up with?!? Then again, if my daughter wasn't a figure skater and my son wasn't a hockey player, that could be worth a couple of jets a year... Anybody want to buy some kids??? (Just kidding of course)
