Looking for F-86
#3

A few years ago Dick Rotkoski produced a big Sabre, 72 inches long/span and this model was covered in several magazines, The moulds were sold to Hernay Serrano of New York who seems to have disappeared fro the scene. I know Hernay produced several kits but I have never seen any other apart from mine (although I know the location of one other) which is partly finished and will have a Jetcat 160 or Pegasus HPES for power.
Moulding quality is excellent and includes moulded gear doors, complete airbrake assemblies and drop tanks and pylons. Flying surfaces are prebuilt foam/ balsa with all spars (substantial carbon fiber) and gear mounts built in. Size is perfect and mine will be finished (although modified for separate wing panels and detachable stabs. and fin) and painted in RAF camouflage colours, 66 Sqn, (like my small PST 600 powered F86 which is in 92 Sqn colours) as soon as my Mig 29 is complete.
Someone out there may know where the other kits are and if they are finished or possibly for sale.
War Paint Books have just released a new book on the Canadair Sabre which details many variants and colour schemes, a refeshing change from the usual USAF markings.
