good to hear some positive comments about simjet...... i now have a proper test stand with the motor mounted on a ballraced slide coupled to a calibrated pounds guage and at Mississippi last weekend I tested another customers Simjet 3000 with the new ECU he had Just received from the factory , and guess what , it fired up first time and ran crisp and clean the throtle up time was exceptional and we ran three tanks of fuel through it without a murmur, the autostart worked perfectly every time, .. scott was pleased with the performance and the scale showed the truth 'for all to see ! lets those annoying setbacks are behind us now >

The Simjet 1200 pushed my 17-lb F-16 around quite impressively at San Jose last weekend. The new ECU worked exactly as advertised! Now, I just need to get Tam's fuel tanks in there to get rid of some bubbles.

Hi Gonevertical, Malcolm

I've got a number of customer who are very satisfied with their turbines. Quick spool up, easy starting, excellent performance.

If their are any SimJet customers out there who are having problems, please contact Gary, Malcolm, Kevin or myself and we'll get you going.

mark i'll be at Lake wales give me some feedback when you have flown the motor , we are getting lots of positive results now with the new mk 3 ECU , the problems with the electronics seem to have been solved and my two 23lb motors are great on the test stand, the spool up time seems to have been halved with the new electronics, from idle to max power in 1 1/2 secs, fastest i've seen.... I also have two simjet 1700s that are running better than great. I think simjet is on the right track.

Default simjets at mississippi

sounds like the things are running better, what happened at Mississippi?

Did you guys have the new ecu there or still an older one. Look like several difficulties were still happening?

mississippi went lousy for me one day of heavy rain and one of wind one flight one crash landing did some minor damage to my f16 somebody yelled at me that there was flutter so I landed in a hurry , to much hurry i put it in a hole at the side of the runway bad luck , bad piloting. Simjet had the new ECU delivered to me on the day i left for the trip, had no time to fit them but i did run Scotts three thousand on my test stand with the new ECU and it was really good , instantaneous start and clean runs , the spool up time was terrific , fastest I've seen on any turbine....1 1/2 secs from idle to max power we did three runs that day and all were perfect .. my 1700 popped and banged and blew flame cos i had given the factory bum info , i told them my 1700 was the latest type with just one thermo coupler, and when i pulled it apart it had two so the New ECU wouldn't let it run cos it's not compatable with the two thermo coupler system . i received the new electronics from Denmark today and I'll install and run this weekend.///////M
