Ghost Rider,
Sorry I Didn't see that! I wonder if we could get him to bring it this weeknd to Winamac. He is in my club. Unfortunately our field is grass and a little rough so he went to our local airport. I had to do the same with my F-18.
Later,
Craig

Hey Craig,

I was at the airport with some guys from our club for the maiden flight.

It typical Merlyn style, the maiden flight included a loop & roll - truly impressive. Despite the size, it has a pretty short take-off roll & is a lot faster than you can imagine. The Vulcan was more stable than the full size airplanes that were flying earlier. I'm sure it freaked some people out driving on Jefferson St, LOL.

Last weekend, he tried flying it off our club's grass field & ended up breaking the nose section off with the gear. The grass wasn't mowed, so it was a little too thick for the weight & ducted fan combo. I don't think the damage is as bad as it sounds.

I may be wrong, but I believe I heard him talking something about Winamac?

Scott,
He said it wouldn't be ready for this weekend. I was at the airport later in the day to fly with my friend in his Bananza and we heard about it. I wish I would of known. I wish we had a more friendly jet field around here.
Later,
Craig

Ghost Rider,
Who at Winamac and including you can help me out with my F-18(Yellow Single DF)? I'm not sure if I'm coming or not this weekend. Depends on the girlfriend. The plane has a flight on it by one of my friends. I have not flown it yet and want to make sure someone can help me out if I show up.
Thanks,
Craig

I use to fly the Y/A F-18 single. Nice airplane to fly when you set the CG correctly.

I can help you out with yours if you bring it down this weekend.

My friend lost his the first flight because of the CG. So we learned when it came to mine. The only problem we had with mine was getting it to rotate. I raised the nose up a little since it was pretty much level. We did not use the flaps on take off since it was it's first flight, but did land with the flapps down. If I come I would appreciate the help.
Thanks,
Craig
