BVM e-mail address

I asked BV before, why he doesn't publish an email address like virtually every other business does. His response was that if he did that then he would spend all his time answering hundreds of questions from every 12 year old who has access to a computer. Somehow the other businesses manage to cope with that problem, but for BV it's just one of those things he is dead set against.
I know the time-zone difference between Florida & the UK can make phone contact awkward, but that's what they prefer. If you are having a tough time getting in contact by phone, is your issue / question something that one of us can help with ?
If necessary, one of the BVM reps here can probably give you his email addr, and act as a "router" so that they can pass your email to BVM without actually giving out the BVM email addrs...

Gordon/Todd,
Thanks for the reply. I suppose I can see his point of view regarding the 12yr olds etc (trying not to diss 12 year olds at the same time though as I was a competent pilot at that age!)
Anyway, it was a question that I suppose could be answered by most who know BVM's products.
I plan on coming over to Florida for a couple of months soon and was contemplating buying a Super Bandit from BVM whilst I was out there along with a jet case for it all to fit in so that I could bring it back with me.
Does the jet case come with wing/stab/fuselage protective covers and all the velcro hold down straps (as the picture shows on their website) so I can just take the bits out of the kit box and use the JetCase without fear of anything getting broken?? Does this sound feasible?
Rgds,
Mark

I gotta ask you this bud.Do you own a Ferrari as pictured in your signature?Or are you just a ferrari dreamer as I am?LOL
They are my dreamcars!!The nicest sportscar I have ever owned to date was my 91 Corvette Convertible with greenwood package..She was a rocket. If my business booms as much this year as I am hoping it will,I'd like to get a new Corvette. We'll see on that tho,a new Eddie bauer Expedition is priority

Not a Testarossa but a 2002 360 Modena!
Not very practical for modelling mind you
I take the BMW mini and trailer to go flying and the wife goes out for a blast in the Ferrari for a couple of hours!!!!!

You might want to consider the fact that you will have to order the kit in advance as well. I am pretty sure that every kit is made to order. Matt's advice about leaving the kit in the kit box is the best way to ship it.

The wing and tail bags are not part of the jet case. You can buy them seperately. The Velcro straps are included in the jetcase. Like DavidR said, Call/write to BVM and order early, the jetcases are very hard to get SOMTIME!! I ordered two and got them months later...plus they have to custom fit the Bandit mounts inside the jetcase.

Thanks Ehab.
Might make sense to order now then! The strong pound and weaker dollar makes them pretty good value now
Any thoughts on a 300ft rolled short grass strip and a P120 powered Bandit - reckon I'd have any problems??

Laura,
You fly at Bickley don't you? Have you seen any Bandits take off/land? Did they have problems or was the strip long enough for them?

Mark,
No one has ever been brave enough to bring there Bandit and fly it at Bickley.....
Now the field has been extended, I would say a Bandit would get off in any direction....But I would wait until they have rolled it.
There have be talks with the LMA, the commitee reckon large models will get in and out of there now no problem.

Mark,
When the fields sorted it will be ok.....But best to test fly on a runway and get totally confident with the machine.....
Tom Antlfinger flies in America Bandits all the time off grass, he is often on here or just give him a private pm.

I have flown my Bandit from 500' of grass and it did fine BUT....the flights I did were not the first ones I put on the airplane. It is a good short field airplane when you use the speed brake and slow it down. Do yourself a favor and learn the airplane before you take it to a short strip.

. . . and maybe you should hedge your bets a bit more by getting a balsa Super Bandit (lighter and more wing area) and using something like a P120.
