I want to build a pulse jet engine. Through much searching, it looks as though my best bet (and seems to be my only choice) is to purchase the plans. But I fear the plans would be inadequate, maybe not, dunno. I’ve been to our city library and found lots of information (technical stuff that helped me understand the whole thing) but the actual size of “this” in relation to “that” and “this” should be “this” small etc, was left high and dry.
Any of you have any other suggestions, experience or what have you? And/or should I just go ahead and pop the $15 for a set of plans and go from there?
Thanks in advance.

Don't waste your money on plans -- most of the commercial plans are either rip-off copies of material already freely available on the Net or they're badly designed engines that won't even run.
There's a free plan (in PDF format) on my website at: http://aardvark.co.nz/pjet/digeridoo.pdf which is reported to run quite well and there are a raft of plans available for free download at: http://www.pulse-jets.com/pulse3.htm (although many of these are hard to read)
