I fly propellar planes but have always been fascinated by jets. Is there a such thing as a cheap jet or a 'trainer' that is easy to fly. And how do jets compare to propellar planes. Thnx!

Top Gun Jets and JD Enterprise jet kits are probably your best bet.
Here are the sites:

http://jdenterprise.net/
They can also be built/modified for turbine use later.
Some DF jets can fly faster than the prop planes, some can fly slower. They're fun and mostly for showing off so give 'em a try.

The JHH Sabre and ARF Hawk are good jet trainers. Good fliers...they're fast when you want them to be and they'll slow down for those realistic landings.
Here's their website:

I agree with Cobras comment: "Some DF jets can fly faster than the prop planes, some can fly slower. They're fun and mostly for showing off so give 'em a try."

enforcer...enforcer...enforcer...
that plane is converted from prop to d/f and keeps all the same flight chart. execpt the 130mph high speed runs. cheap to get into , fun to fly , lands slower than you neihbors ugly stick!
if you dont want to convert... go with the tga f15.
it is as forgiving as it gets for a d/f kit, even if you "mess up " a little building or flying
my 2cents
