im going to add this stuff to my smoke fluid , i know its corny and stupid but its one of those things i must try ! .. I though of using it on the kerosine, but i dont want to jepordize my turbines ....

anyone else use this stuff ? i think there are other smells like strawbery, orange, chery, etc ..... this .... i personally would think it was funny if there was an additive that made the exhaust smell like poo .... do a nice flyby blowin some REAL somke out the rear end !

There is such thing as a scented Kerosene additive. I bought some at Home Depot. It comes in Vanilla, Cinnamon, etc. I have used it and you can smell it from the Turbine exhaust.

Ill get the name if you want your airplane to smell pretty before you tell your jet buddy you love him and then go dancing with him after flying all day in Florida.

I got a whole bunch from cooper fuels for my glow fuel. they had all different variety. Watermelon, Cinnamon, Grape, Cherry, Vanilla, Root Beer or Tangerine. I'm going to try it out in my next gallon!

I burn the "Cotton Candy" scent in my Cooper's Blend 15% I run in the glow engines. It probably would be vaporized in the turbine and you would not get any smell, but don't see why it wouldn't work in the smoke. I have about 3/4 of a bottle of the stuff if you want to try it. It only takes a few drops for a gallon. Must say that since I have started using it, I have attracted more fat guys watching me fly....
Plus it makes cleaning up my airplane easy, I just let the kids lick off the residue...Just kidding, the dog gets first dibs.

IF you add it to your smoke fluid, you should be able to smell it.

LMAO! I'm the only lineguy at KMDQ and I know what Jet-A smells like I pump more than 1000 gals some days. If we were to use cotton candy additives to our fuel farm, the lear and citation pilots would smell it and say "***?!" "Oh guys, yeah that's our new cotton candy additive... " I think they would instantly fly away and buy their fuel at Huntsvillle International!

You always want to keep your fuel smelling normal, so you know that it is indeed what it is. If you start to mask it with fruity scents, you will probably run the risk of misfueling some how and will also have to beat the pink shirt wearin' fat guys off with a stick.

That is the same guys I'm talking about, are you seeing them too or it is just me??? Have to agree with you about adding to my jet fuel. I wouldn't do that, but I run it in my glow planes, it is sort of a novelty at the field. You know how when somebody gets one off after eating aburrito, and everyone knows that somebody did it, but won't admit it... same thing at the field, but it smells like "cotton candy", go figure...[>:]

here it is.
I put a little potpourri on the cockpit dash to. It really makes for enjoyable flying, even on cloudy days.

I can imagine everyone using different scents, imagine in the summer no wind...Yuck.
Better when your model's in your car though!
Most blokes wouldn't know a deccent scent if it bit them on their bum!!!
If my dad wanted to buy some id think he'd lost the plot....Coloured smoke, then may be!!!!

Hi Alan,
I have used it a few times and you can smell it.
It made my P120 put out 35lbs of the best smelling power and it overhauled the engine while it did it. Seriously, it sounds like it might also be beneficial, but I only did it for novelty purposes.
