Hi Woketman. I've been in contact with Jason at SWB. He has stated that the Mamba will be ready for delivery this month. I haven't spoken to him in the past couple of weeks but it seems the engine's are still not being shipped. I could be wrong. I was going to maybe put one in my new BVM Sabre but I'm pretty sure I will be going with a P-80 as BV will be offering a P-80 bypass for the new Sabre.
Take care!

Mark,
Haven't you heard. SWB got sued by proluck. It was established that there already was another product on the market called Mamba. (Some sort of snake I think)

You guys have no idea what you are talking about. The problem with the production delay is that it has come to light that JETCAT has filed a patent for both the green and black mamba, as well as the rare red variety, since the snake so closely resembles the bussiness tactics of some opposition turbine vendors.

If you guys wait for a 11-12 lb engine, why don`t you have a look at www.funsonic.com ?
They told me delivery starts in August. I already ordered one.

Sorry guys,
SWB's gonna have to change their little motor's name (ha, ha) as AC Car Group, Britain's oldest car maker in the UK, recently released their new Mamba sports car.
Mamba strikes in Chelsea
AC Cars launched their new coupe this week and the first members of the public to see it were Reuters City Motor Club members!

Ageless, they told ya August, eh? So far, I can not remember a single turbine from any manufacturer that was ever available when they said it would be. For many, it is due to legitimate developmental issues and you probably don't want it anyway until all of the bugs are worked out (if that ever happens). But these guys are always very optimistic in predicting availability dates. Sure, somebody will say "you're wrong! Turbine XYZ from ABC was available a week early!", but that is a rarity. How long past August can you hold your breath? Please let us know when it really materializes.

We should have had a Mamba for review in RCJI, still not arrived. What did arrive by UPS this morning was a PST 600 turbine, it is beautifully made in Thailand and was demoed at the WJM last November. An early customer showed me his engine at Jets over Sydney last weekend and we started it several times. Fired up and ran each time every time, no problem at all, smooth as silk. (What do you expect from Thailand ). I was so impressed that I have bought the review engine and will fly it in the BobCat and F86. after bench testing. Full and in-depth review in RCJI asap, just missed the current issue.
