10 days into my BV F100
10 days into my BV F100 we've only been able to do everything except rudder.
Slats, flaps, ailerons, speedbrake, intake, landing gear, gear doors, canopy, hatch, are done and working beautifully. A few more days and it will be ready for rigging. Unfortunately It will probably take as long to rig and twice as long to finish. It is a beautiful kit with great instructions with a large amount of prefabrication. My only problem will be finding a turbine for it.
This has to be the nicest kit I have ever seen. Virtually a seemless airplane with perfect glasswork. Extremely minimal sanding required. Will save enormous amount of time. You should see the stab mechanism. Looks like it was built for Sherman Tank. This aircraft was built to last as has some awesome hardware. What else can I say.

Thanks for the positive comments. I wanted a P160 to go in it, but it sounds like that might be quite a while. Considered AMT, but dont want to go out and get scuba tanks again. Simjet 3000 only puts out 25lbs. Would like RAM 2000, but right now I dont have any idea what to power it with. I will get some more pics as progress continues.

P120
Scott,
You ought to consider the JetCat P120. It really hauls my Phantom. I have been waiting for a P160 for it, but had an extra 120 waiting for the Bobcat to be finished, so I put it in the Phantom. I can't believe I am saying the Phantom doesn't need the P120. The performance is outstanding.
Mississippi Gang member Rick Yelverton flew his F-100 at Miss. A/B with the standard Pegasus set at 28 lbs. It flew great with Pegasus power. You can have that kind of power with the JetCat P120. I have tested installed thrust with the RAM 1000, AMT Pegasus, and the JetCat P120, and they are all comparable. There are only minor differences based on the particular aircraft in which the engine is installed.
You can have the great reliability of the JetCat with a great auto start ECU that has built in speed limiter, cruise control, smoke, and too many great features to list here. Go to http://www.jetcatusa.com/faq.htm
and read about it.
The Mississippi Gang is planning to go to the Dallas event next month, so you will get to see plenty of heavy metal JetCat powered action there. We will have two BVM Phantoms, Bobcats, and Firebirds powered by the JetCat P120.
Yes I'll admit it. I am biased.

I just thought I would need a little more push since the model is supposed to be around 30lbs w/o armament. I thought i might dress her up down the road and need mo poundage. I think she will be 37 wet and thats nearly 10 under w/o tanks or anything else. I thought that might be borderline. I finding a hard time believing its going to be 30 since it only weighs about 10-12 now. The rudder is almost finished now, so I need to get something quick.

Scott, just get the P120 and quit "thinking" so hard. Rick's flew great with the 120. Fly it for a while w/o tanks and then when the 160 shows (I'll sell you my spot), out it in.

Scott,
The P-120 hauled my Phantom around great, I am going to put a P-160 in my F-100 but mine is the F model. Of course I am biased as well.
FWIW I do believe AMT Netherlands is overstating their thrust.

Rubbish, David, AMT NL NEVER overrate their engines, and they DO support their customers with quality products AND quality customer service, and an old Pegasus really makes my F4 go !
The new Pegasus HP with autostart will be reviewed in RCJI in due course, i. e quite soon, and will be test flown in my F4. Yes, its a little heavy, but AMT engines have that number one asset, reliability, in abundance, something I value above all else.
No-one outside AMT NL knows the true thrust value of the HP yet so shall we just wait until the engine is released before we start to make assumptions or statements which may prove to be incorrect ?
