Thomas Kamps also has a great book for setting up, chosing models and running engines.

"Mike's Jet Book" sounds like what you are looking for. Go here to get it:

Kamps book is much more thorough I find when it comes to turbines (its turbine only, no DF) where as Mikes book allthough a great bopok is 95% ducted fan and just a wee bit of turbine. Nonetheless it is a good book for general jet stuff.
