Quinte
Hi Myles,
Did you get into Quinte ? I drove 3.5 hrs to be turned away at the gate ! I saw guys out there flying and they wouldn't let me in for "insurance" reasons. Nothing's simple nowadays. I knew the weather wasn't great but was willing to just hang out and talk jets and meet some of the people such as yourself. I was working like crazy to get my Super Reaper done but because of my " Wings from Hell" I didn't get it finished.

bay of quinte turn around
I also was turned around at the gate. I drove 3 hours so someone could tell me to go home. I can understand the insurance issue. HOWEVER!, as I understood it they weren't allowing spectators becuase they didn't get the barriers set up. ?????
who didn't get the barriers setup and why didn't they get them setup. Don't they know on a good year they usually get 100 pilots and between 2000-4000 spectators. I can assure you that all of the spectators don't come from belleville area. I know of ten members of my club, (3 hour drive to bellville) that planned on attending. If you know your having and event , make sure you can accomodate everyone , including the spectators. I can also assume that there were people that drove alot futher than I did to go to spectate. Thanks to the organizers of the Bay of Quinte event.
