I have a older 1000 ( Pre Bob ecu ). The last four flights have ended with the engine pulling back to idle ( on it's on ), and causing me to land in the field. When this happen yesterday I was able to make the runway to check it with the start box. I always thought the probe was in too far causing it to read to hot and I was trying to back it out some to correct this, but the box showed the temp to be around 350 and the cp would only go to
360 even at full stick throttle. This only happens in flight during the last half of the fight. Before this fight I ran a whole tank through it and it's runs great , cp shows 1920. I'm wondering if the ecu might be causing this. This plane have 170 flights on it
before it started doing this.

Hello David. Check the fuel vent system. If you are not getting air into the tanks as you pull the fuel then you will starve the fuel pump. Also check the fuel filter or felt clunk if you are using one. It is time to replace these items. Good luck.
