I'm using the Jr 3301 as per manual. My concern is when taxiing up and down the tarmac the elevaros jump something crazy. They stop when I move the controls, or touch them.
I,ve seen 3D aircraft using digitals that have done the same thing when the radio is turned on.
It's just making me nervous as I'm doing the first flights today.

You may have a problem of too much voltage causing oscillations. OR, some of your extensions are not making a good electrical connection. Or you may be having electrical noise, try some beeds on the servo extensions...Check it out first, do not fly it!!!

Something is wrong for sure, I used the recommended servos in my BobCat and a JR match box..I have two independent batteries supplying 4.8 volts to the receiver.... I have never seen what you describe.. you might try a 5 cell battery pack just to see if the higher voltage makes any difference.

Something is wrong.... Mine is fine with 5 cells and no regulator....
Try an external extension direct from the Rx outside the model to EACH servo.... to see if the wiring could be an issue.
What is your setup??

The solution is, probably, simple. Use 5 cell pack or a Duralite pack with a 5.1 volt regulator. Use heavy duty cables from the RX to EACH servo, do not Y-lead the two servos from one cable, cable length of each elevator servo cable is almost four feet. In addition the servos may be defective in that they are operating at too high gain and are overshooting the neutral, I had this exact problem with 8231s on my F15 stab. Horizon changed the servos and I upgraded the F15 servos to 8411s, problem disappeared. Finally, and I know some people including BV disagree , upgrade your stab. servos to 9411s they are more powerful and have metal gears, which make them virtually immune to gear stripping if bumped. Both of my BobCats are so equipped and are a delight to fly, having given not a moment's trouble, and I have complete confidence in the integrity of the control system.
