Default Tennessee Jets

Hey guys.

Tennessee Jets. Just around the corner. So make plans to be there this year.. We had a lot of good comments about last years event. We did great for our first year. We are looking forward to a great event this year as well. We have the perfect site for a Jet event. Just ask anyone who attended last year. This will be the most flyer friendly event in the area...

The date is June 11, 12, 13, 2004

The place is Maury County Airport/Mount Pleasant TN

Please E-mail [email protected] if you are attending this year or have any questions..

www.columbiarc.com

Thanks and We hope to see you all in June..

Gary Szetlak and I will be there again this year, Trevor. Very well run rally last year and lots of fun. Great flying site. Looking forward to making the first "official" flight of the meet again this year!

David:

I can't afford the fuel you go through on a single day! Those Jet-A tanker trucks you bring in are massive.

Tom:

Looking forward to seeing you and your new KingCat. Don't get caught in Chicago traffic again!

Does anyone have hotel information for Tennessee Jets?

Just some advice to anyone attending this year, do yourself a favor and don't stay at the Days Inn. We stayed at the Days Inn last year and it was absolutely the nastiest hotel I have ever seen.

Please let me know if anyone has Names and phone #'s for any others. Thanks, Gary

Hi Gary:

I stayed at the Jameson Inn in Columbia last year and found it acceptable.....a pleasant 15-20 minute ride to the airport...total tab including taxes for 4 nights was $263..............

Tom, thanks for the information. I will have my wife call and check availability. There was some sort of event last year and all of the hotels were booked so that is how we got stuck at the Days Inn.

It was so bad that my wife reported them to the Tennessee health department when we got home. [:@] Probably didn't do any good but she felt better anyways.

I'd go, since I live in Clarksville, but I only have a prop jet. (pictures in my gallery).
Good luck with the fly-in.

You are to close not to go!
Who knows, you might find a df you like for sale.
Or a turbine for that matter. You could be there in an hour and a half.

Tenn Jets just around the corner....... 10 day long range thru a week from Saturday looks like a repeat of MAB.....temps in the mid-80s, light SW winds, and scattered to isolated Boomers......

Trevor:

Will there be flying allowed on Thursday, say after about 12 Noon or maybe earlier??.....Can we tent up Thursday morning?

We will be doing set up thursday morning at 7am you can set up tents at the same time... We can start flying as soon as the safety fence is up... Just to protect the set up guys wile they finish set up..Safety First...

The Airport will be open for full scale traffic on thur. I will have a unicom at the runway to pay close attn. to traffic so not to have any problems...

Sounds like a lot of you guys are showing up on thur. Maybe next year We will ad another day to the event...

See you all there

Thanks for the update Trevor.......

Yup.....need all the flying time we can get, what with 8 Mississippi Gangsters in the mix........led by David ( The Oxford Overcast) Reid.......what with a JetCat Maytag, a.k.a. P-120 back on his KingCat with hot re-fueling enchancement, probably won't need sunscreen, once he gets his MOJO risin'.......sky's just gonna get dark.......sort of a KingCat eclipse.......

C'ya all in a few days.....

Tom I have a 160 back on it this week, but will also have a Maytag (I should say Whirlpool since they pay a good chunk of my bills here!) on the Bobcat, and the Rhino. We have 100 gallons of jet fuel loaded and ready to get some flying in. Had to work to hard at MAB. Have you got the new Kingcat ready to go yet? How about dem bombs?

You make the free 5 gal of jet-a we are giving out to all registered pilots seem kinda silly.

Oh well we do what we can...
