How much of a market is there for a sport/trainer jet in the wren 54 class? Semi kit -$275, full kit $375. I have one in development, just about ready to make the plugs.

Hi Nathan,
I am/will be in the market for a 12lb. class trainer. At present it looks like the only choices are the AV8R or the Facet, reports on both are good. I really don't like the looks of the AV8R. I think they should sell a 12lb. class DV8R it looks way cooler than the AV8R. So for me the only option is the Facet which I think is a better looking plane than the AV8R. Do you have any pics/drawings of your trainer?

I will post pics as soon as I have them ready. The trainer will not be another Roo clone, it is designed like a conventional jet. Pod and boom configuration with a V tail and semi retractable landing gear (nose gear retract, mains fixed). The fuselage will be fiberglass with a foam core wing. The engine will be fully exposed for easy access. My Idea with this is to make an affordable, composite, easy to fly turbine jetThe semi kit will contain the fiberglass fuselage and wing cores, and templates for the formers and other wood parts. The full kit will come with all the wood parts, wings pre sheeted. I am thinking of doing an ARF version as well. I should have initial development finished by the end of the summer, and hopefuliy a production run by this time next year. Il keep you all posted.
