I have a Kangaroo with six JR-8411-s on control surfaces and 5 cell rcvr pack. Shouldn't I run a 6 volt regulator. Bob Violett sent me Mini-Hobby reg that regulates it down to 5 volts. Would I better off with a 6volt reg. and who makes a good one? Thanks

Regulators are designed to keep the voltage at or about 5 volts plus. Just perfect for all R/c receivers and servos ------- If you want to operate on a full 5 cell pack un-regulated in most cases that's OK also. Some servos don't like upper 5 to 6 volt range that the 5 cell packs will hold, and that is the main reason some like to use regulators.

I have 2 1650mah 6V packs in parallel in my Edge 540. They are just plugged into the Rx and the power 5 8411's (and a mini servo) with no problem. The servos don't jitter at all, even when both packs are fully charged. I have only heard of people using regulators when the servos can't handle all of the voltage. I am sure there people with more experience than me though.
